Medallion Athletic Products, Inc. corporate headquarters are located in Mooresville, North
Carolina. Medallion was founded in 1996 and engages in the supply and installation of athletic
and recreation facility equipment and surfacing, including artificial turf systems and tracks.
Medallion focuses primarily on facilities in the southeastern United States however, projects
have been undertaken from coast to coast.
Between 1996 and 2004, Medallion partnered with other brand suppliers of artificial turf products. In 2001, Medallion installed its first outdoor multi-field artificial turf project, after many years of indoor facility turf projects. In 2004, Medallion was awarded a 5-field project for the City of Asheville-the largest multi-field artificial turf project in the southeast at the time. Since then, we are proud to say Medallion has installed more artificial turf projects in the state of North Carolina than any other company. Medallion has also completed outstanding fields in South Carolina, Virginia and Georgia.
In 2004, Medallion branded its own artificial turf, MaxPlay™ The MaxPlay™ product has been installed on the majority of indoor and outdoor facilities under Medallion contract. MaxPlay™ is backed by Medallion’s comprehensive Triple-Play warranty, which is underwritten by warranties from both fiber manufacturer, and Medallion’s tufting/finishing partners.
Medallion also represents Mondo, as a dealer/installer. Mondo is an international sports surface manufacturer with experience in athletic surfacing, and specifically artificial grass manufacturing, construction, and service. Mondo goes to market in North America through a network of independent distributors and dealers. Through Medallion, Mondo offers high quality products through a competent and experienced artificial turf and athletic surfacing contractor.
As Medallion’s knowledge and experience with artificial turf system projects has grown, so has our understanding of our customers’ needs. The evolution of Medallion from a supplier/installer to a vertically integrated General Contractor capable of performing turn-key operations in house has not only enabled us to better serve our customers, but allows us to pass the savings on to them as well.
At Medallion, we not only provide high quality turf products, but also self perform the installation of turf and construction of the sub-base. Mondo installers all meet strict standards for quality craftsmanship.
